I HAVE A NEW SISTER-IN-LAW!
You all have to know that on July 7, 2018, I had the coolest (and most stressful) experience in all the time I've been shooting weddings.
"Why?" You may ask.
Because I shot two weddings on the same day!
First, I had Sam and Caleb's amazing wedding at Red River Farms, and 30 minutes after their wedding, I shot my brother-in-law's wedding as a wedding gift.
But the coolest thing?
I HAVE MY FIRST SISTER-IN-LAW!
Meet Hannah and Ryan
The first thing I have to say about Ryan is that he is the best brother-in-law anyone could hope for.
There are many reasons why, but the first thing that comes to mind is the time I got hope later than usual one day, and I see him in my yard cutting up a tree that had fallen the day before in a big storm.
When I asked if Grace called for him to help, he just shrugged and said, "Nah, I just figured with your schedule, being busy and all, I would come help you out."
He get's that kind of attitude from his father.
When he decided to introduce us the Hannah about a year ago, we pretty much all fell in love with her.
I know Grace and I did because she loves on our children like they're her own nephews and she is enjoyable to be around.
So when it came to be about May, they broke the news to us they wanted to get married in July!
According to them, here's how the conversation went on the way home from Arkansas, visiting my father and mother-in-law.
"Do you want to get married before I go to the Air Force?"
"Yeah! Let's do it! If we're going to, we might as well sooner than later."
"Ok, well after July, we're pretty booked up. How about July 7?"
"Yeah, that works!"
Honestly, I love this because this is such a Ryan and Hannah way to get married.
SIDE NOTE: This also goes to show that the ring is not needed to get engaged! The ring isn't the decision, it's just the symbol.
The wedding was not at all the most elaborate of weddings, and that's just fine.
It was, however, perfect for the two of them.
The wedding was in her parents back yard where they built them a canopy using limbs and sunflowers, and the reception floor was anywhere you wanted.
Aside from the wedding that was happening, there were a few key moments that I loved about this wedding.
- It was the first wedding in four years I have been able to attend with my family.
- Rowan was the ring bearer
- My parents played the part of DJ and coordinator
- I was able to have a dance with my new sister-in-law and tell her how proud I was to have her as a part of the family.
Ryan, congrats brother for finding you a great woman to call wife! I'm proud of you.
Hannah, welcome to the family! You are going to find we're crazy, but we love each other without reservation.
